Majickal Bellydance
Majickal Bellydance combines the deep inner core, strength and grounding work of belly dance, with the deep inner spiritual work of symbolism and mindfulness.
Class Details
Learn the ancient art of belly dance.
Majikcal Bellydance is an exercise class, but it’s also a women’s wellbeing class. You’ll experience the gorgeous healing energy of belly dance; helping you to feel more joyful, strong and shiny. Belly dance drills work on spiritual as well as physical levels; but as in any belly dance class, you will practise warm-ups, dance drills and cool-downs, as well as a fun improvisation.
Belly dance is feminine, fabulous and fun. Although this isn’t a performance class, you’ll get a great workout and a boost to the spirits. You’ll be captivated by the ancient rhythms of traditional music, as well as have a laugh while belly dancing to contemporary music.
Come and dance with me.
My belly dance teaching journey began in 1999, when my teacher recognised that I too was a teacher. Although I went on to complete a course in belly dance teacher training, during those first few terms I learnt how to teach from the student-dancers who shimmied around me; so right from the beginning, I’ve focussed on attuning to dancers and their individual needs and strengths.
Although I was trained in Classical Egyptian Belly Dance, I soon developed my own personal style that I named Majickal Bellydance.
Why Majickal? Well, Majickal Bellydance has it’s roots way back in my student-dancer days, when I wrote some ritual dance choreographies. These choreographies were highly symbolic and I enjoyed how they shifted our consciousness. So rather than focus on teaching traditional and folkloric styles of belly dance, I specialised my teaching practice into something magical, joyful and meditative.
I’m also a writer, poet and mystic, and I’ve published two books. I offer courses in a variety of areas including tarot, writing and meditation. Check out my courses page for more offerings.

See you on the dance floor.
This is the birthplace of Majickal Bellydance. Pandora's Star, a Croydon studio I used to own from 2008-2010. There was a bookshop, new age shop, and practitioner rooms where people would receive healings and readings. I made many friends and connections that have enriched my life, both professionally and socially.
