The Equinox Festivals

Image
There are various ways to experience Easter. For some it's a holiday and time with friends and family. For some it's a deeply meaningful time for spiritual ceremony. But for everyone, this time of year is a seasonal festival. All over the world people are experiencing the change of the seasons. The in-between seasons, either from summer to winter, or from winter to summer (or their equatorial equivalent). My sauce & some random tomatoes Parallel with the traditions people follow, we are all subject to the changing moods of the seasons. Aside from winter sport enthusiasts, many people instinctively withdraw their energy in winter, I know I do. Like a bear in a cave, it's hard to get me out of the house during the colder months. Whether or not we are conscious of it, we are all affected by the relinquishing of autumn and the growth cycle of spring. Inexorably, nature flows through us, connecting us to people and planet. Our own personal energies expand and contra

Ego is Not a Dirty Word

Image
"The Ego and Self-Actualisation The ego is a much-maligned aspect of the human psyche, yet as much a part of it as a flower is part of its originating tree. Ordinary consciousness often expresses itself at the ego level because the ego’s concerns are usually the most strident in any given moment. The ego might be likened to the child-self. This does not diminish its value, but rather enhances it, for as we show care and concern for the needs of the ego, we address the needs of our most basic instinctive self. In our modern, mechanical age of distraction and escape, it can be more difficult to maintain a conscious connection with our basic creature-selves. The soul-self is like the parent, aware of itself and its purpose in a greater world. The ego is more like the child-self, serving its own needs and quite rightly so. The push/pull dance of energy taking place between our ego desires and our soul-self-actualisation is ever present and energising. Yet at the most basic eart

The Antidote to Terror is Love

Image
The antidote to terror is love . Values related to expansion and competition have left many human beings isolated from each other, country against country and group against group. It's as if we have forgotten we are all sharing the same planet and that what affects one can ripple outward to affect all. Many events are taking place on our planet at present that have the potential to generate harm well into the future. Rather than expansion and domination, the time has come to responsibly manage and lovingly care for what we already have. Fostering a set of loving, life affirming values helps us to remember the symbiotic nature of life on Earth. For example the widespread use of pesticides seems to be affecting our bee population. These creatures are vital in the continuation of the food supply on Earth. They are the perfect example of the symbiosis governing the conditions for life as we know it. The energy of  love  compels us to act in life affirming ways, nurturing life and

Introducing: The Love of the Universe

Image
The moment I have been working toward for many years has finally arrived. At this early stage, ironically, I'm feeling a little lost for words. I'm sure the reality of my new situation will settle in gradually. Rather than the 'big bang' I had anticipated, my first book launch feels more like a rising hum.  The journey has just begun...  I wish to extend a  HUGE thank you to all of the readers of this blog. 💚   Your visits helped support my spirit through the long journey of writing a book. Leanne Margaret The Love of the Universe Initiating Loving Principles of Living Energy in a Creatively Evolving Universe. Are you experiencing the love of your life?  Today’s world seems to be falling out of love with itself. The warning signals of Mother Earth’s unease are hard to ignore. T he Love of the Universe  is a model of multi-dimensional human consciousness. It begins at the source – Dimension Zero, or womb of oceanic unconsciousness. We rise toward incre

Space Travel

Image
Space travel has provided psychic as well as scientific benefits. Through the images communicated to us by space travellers and satellites, it is easier than ever to visualise the image of planet Earth from space. We have become conscious of our planet, thus reaching planetary consciousness . This Earth clip is brought to you by  focaclipart.wordpress.com Seeing our home in such a way broadens our perspective to a more objective one. The subject, our conscious mind, and the object, planet Earth, can become both more distinct and more intimate. We can imagine ourselves in space, viewing the planet as a separate being. But our bodies remain on Earth, forever unified with it's physicality. For without a spaceship, only our minds can leave Earth. Planetary consciousness helps us become aware of the small nature of our planet in a big universe. When oriented physically on Earth we are bound by various physical and cultural boundaries that seem to separate us into different grou

The Elements of Nature - for urban people

Image
Modern cities can separate people from nature. It is in our nature to be in nature. Although we have built up civilisations to protect us from the more destructive side of the elements, we are still affected by their power. The elements of nature are usually described as Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Everything is created from these elements, which is why they have been invoked for thousands of years in ceremony and song. Earth Earth represents our planet and the physical earth we walk on and grow our food in. We are intimately connected to the health of the soil and its balance of nourishment and microbes. Without healthy, rich soil, good food can't grow. Therefore the element of Earth represents all that nourishes us on a physical level including food, movement and protection from the elements in the form of clothing and housing. Our physical bodies too are made of the nourishment we draw from the earth. Rituals involving physical healing and financial abundance might feat

The Car Park Thing

You might know what I mean. It's a common trick taught in self help and sales manuals. When going somewhere busy, visualise driving into the perfect car park near your preferred location. I have tried it, my friends have tried it, my estate agent has tried it. It works. But what about those who aren't aware of how to manifest a car park that way? What if they need it more? Someone who doesn't know or forgets to use their car park invocation might be rushing to the doctor or whatever. Something more important than picking up a litre of milk and a packet of chips. It is important to act ethically when using spell-crafting. To visualise and claim a car park is to cast a spell. It is spelling our goal or intent into words or pictures. I like to use both. I might visualise my car in the perfect car park as well as speak the words: "Universe please provide me with the perfect car park for my visit to __________." If I were to consider others who might need that ca

Strawberry Seasons

Image
I am a recovering 'tree-changer,' now settled back into the suburbs, but I learned some valuable life lessons from strawberries.  Their seasons taught me about flow, about predators on the hunt, patience and restraint.  I learned about the life-force and its constantly changing cycles. They grew spontaneously, most likely from compost scraps, on the sunny side of the garden next to a large water tank.  An ever-flowing mountain stream gushed at the foot of the garden, fertilising the air the strawberries breathed.  They snuck up on me each summer of my three year mountain retreat, as I shuddered still whining from vicious winters. The strawberries sweetly showed me how life energy waxes and wanes, like the moon governing the swelling and retreat of ocean tides.  An industrialised mind seeks constant growth, continuous all through the day and night production.  This is not how living energy flows.  I can't just make more strawberries to respond to the demands of tod
